I feel somehow disappointed that the opportunities are scarce. No major increase in slary compatible with the degree and the list goes on..

Asma يقول...

As for me, I didnt reach this point yet. However, I see that while we were students we had high expectations because of the academic atmosphere that surrounded us and the contact with highly qualified individuals.
So, when we graduated we got disappointed by the facts that not everyone values those with higher degrees..not everyone understands what our major is..not everyone is well educated..not everyone forgets about Wasta (nepotism) while hiring new employees...etc

yes Franko, I agree with u.
sometimes I feel that they r getting back into the time of miracles.

Actually I didn't disappointed that much, because at the beginning I didn't put much expectation, or make a fancy dreams to myself outside the real world facts.

AlyaaF يقول...

I do not have big dreams, but still I feel unsatisfied.

Salam Alikom all

I might have different opinion about this issue, even though I haven't graduated yet, but I do have a lot, in fact HUGE, expectation about my future career..
I am fully aware of the many obstacles facing me in my road to success. And I am preparing myself from now... I am totally aware that the work environment in Kuwait is very discouraging. And most people are unprofessional in their work. It seems to me that the centralized decisions from unqualified bosses are affecting every single organization in Kuwait, especially in the government sector. It's common in Kuwait that good workers are unappreciated, while others who do nothing but have a good "Wasta" gets it all… But, would I let it affect me and my life, NO WAY… I design my life the way I want it… I have plans about what I am going to do to advance my career from the day after I finish this program and receive my degree…. I have a plan "A" for a position in my current organization, and I have a plan "B" to work in other organizations, and a plan "C" through establishing my own business. And all plans are ready to be executed; in addition to other ideas for if nothing works…. It's better to prepare and prepare and prepare… and never give up…. It's not easy, but as long as I keep trying and not letting any thing bring me down. I shall succeed at the end…
And if you may allow me to advice or recommend things for you I would say:
Never wait for your chance … go and make your chance.
Never settle for what you have or where you are … look around for what is better…
Never set limits to what you can do… you are learning new things every day…
And finally … never depend on your job at the government sector,,, in fact, if you can leave and find yourself a job in the private sector, do so… or may be start your own project… "i.e: like Nashiri E-publishing House sister Hayat Alyaqout have "

Finally,, I wish every one a good life and a promising career
